Mariposa Therapy Services provides bilingual (English/Spanish) speech and language pediatric therapy services in the NWA area. We are located in Lowell, AR. Telehealth is an option.

At Mariposa Therapy Services, we specialize in working with children with learning disabilities, expressive/receptive language disorders, fluency (stuttering) disorders, and articulation disorders. We work with Homeschool, Private, and Public School Families. All are welcome! Lastly, we believe in working as a team; therefore, we work with the child’s family, school and medical providers.

Speech and Language Therapy

Our therapy services focuses on the child. We assist and support them reach their full potential. We also implement research-based instructional strategies to help the child reach his or her goals and objectives.

Frequency of sessions is determined based on the severity and areas of difficulty the child may present.

Speech Screener

A 30 minute speech screener can be conducted to determine if a comprehensive evaluation is warranted. It is conducted virtually or via phone call. You may contact us with your questions or concerns.

If your child has had a completed speech and language evaluation within the past six months, a consultation via phone or in person can determine need for therapy services.

In addition, a screening of your child may take place. The screening is a quick and informal session that consists of questions based on your concerns in the areas of speech and language.

Lastly, data from the child’s teachers and/or health care providers may be used to determine if a comprehensive evaluation is needed.

Speech Evaluations

A speech and language evaluation will be completed in the area/s of concern. Our specialization is completing comprehensive Spanish-English bilingual evaluations. A written report of the evaluation, as well as recommendations and a treatment plan, will be provided to the parent.

Professional Development and Consultations:

1. Consults with SLPs and professionals on topics related to identification, evaluation, diagnosis and therapy/interventions of English speakers and bilingual speakers.
2. Provides professional development to staff in educational and clinical settings.
3. Completes bilingual evaluations for school districts in Arkansas

Parent Consultation and IEP Reviews:

A collaboration with parents and families to review treatment plans or educational plans can be scheduled. In addition, home programs consisting of activities and strategies can be created to help improve your child’s speech and language skills at home.

Consultation Time:

The consultation time is an1 hour and it is conducted virtually.  

Prior to the consultation, the parents are expected to forward their child’s records prior to the consultation for review, fill out relevant intakes and questionnaires.
